My sun-stained gaze after our walk together
Kitchen tiles bathing in iridescence
Like an oil spill tugged at my eyelids
You're unwavering nerve
Looming over us all
Our differences placed aside for moments
You claimed as your own
How lucky we must appear
In the reflection of those polka-dotted sunglasses
I see myself & thank the spirits
He replies "don't mention it"
But how could i not?

Pink trenchcoat swang around
Stay chopped up blur h-town
Pastel tones in the gala
And the soft top disappear, voila
