Late night coolin'with my homies 在一個涼爽的夜晚，我和同伴在一起

After smokin',stopped in Oakland 吸完煙後，將車停在了奧克蘭
Got the munchies for some soul food 去了家快餐店填點肚子
So we stopped to get a bite to eat 於是我們下了車弄了點零食

I heard someone behind me fighting 我聽見有些人在我身後大家
So I turn to look and find out 於是乎我轉頭去看看
What's the cause of this excitement 到底是什麼玩意搞得這麼激情
The brother was a dopefiend 那位兄弟是個傻大哥
And the other was a dopeman 而那個對手是個大薩比
And the dope man had an AK 那個薩比拿了把ak
Said he'll spray and he's not jokin'薩比叫著說他會用ak 掃死那個傻大個看來是玩真的
Well it seems to be the dopefiend 看來那個傻大個
Owed the dope man for his product 欠了那個薩比什麼東西
And he swore if he did not pay 但他發毒誓不會買賬
He would end up getting shot up 如果他真被射到一定會完蛋
Now I could not walk away 我無法離開
Cause I got caught up in the scene 因為我看到了這個場景
Wondering what would happen to this 疑惑究竟是什麼導致這樣的結果發生
Poor and helpless fiend 可憐無助的兄弟啊

Said let's go and make our order 叫我們不要管閒事了
What's the use in watchin'two men 在這裡看這哥倆有什麼用呢？
Stand out here fight over quarters 站在原地看著他們鬥毆了好一會
While I walked inside the diner 當我走進飯店時
And all the Dope Fiends waived to me 那些薩比暴徒們要把我拉回來
Heard the sound of several gun shots 我聽到了幾聲槍響

All the people in the diner 在餐廳裡的人們
Ran outside to see the big show 都跑出來看熱鬧了
It was just another party 這就像是場party 一樣
For them to see just who they would know 他們只是想看看究竟發生了什麼
But for me I held concern 但我卻為此十分擔心
I wanted to see the outcome 我想看看這場鬧劇的結局
Would the mother see her son tonight 今晚到底是哪個母親要為自己的兒子哭泣
Or would she live her life without one?在沒有兒子的情況下她是否能繼續活下去
I made it to the streets I 我在街上想著
Almost cried right on the spot 想到這點我幾乎要哭出來
Not only had the fiend died 不僅那個暴徒死了
But a small girl had been shot 還有一個小女孩也中槍了
My heart could take no more 我無法再承受下去了
I felt a tear roll down my face 眼淚從我的臉頰滾落下來
That was daddy's bullet 這本來是擊中父親的子彈
But she took it in his place 但她卻把它擋住了

Tried to make my way through the crowd 我試圖從人群中擠出
So I could go help the baby 去幫助這個小女孩
She could barely speak
這小女孩幾乎不能說話了

So I screamed out,someone help me 我大呼救命
But I don't think they could hear 但我認為他們都沒有聽見
And if they did,they didn't care 就算聽見了，他們也對此毫不關心
Oh how I hated everyone there 啊！我多麼憎惡這些人啊！
The baby lie here dying 那個小女孩躺在那裡垂死掙扎著
And I wondered what could I do 我都開始不知所措起來
The camera men and newspapers had come 攝影師拿著報紙來到我旁邊
To get their interviews 他們要採訪我
To them it's just a story 對他們來說這是個小新聞而已
And they can't see the tragedy 但他們永遠不知道這個悲劇的故事
To them it doesn't matter 對他們來說這無關緊要
