Trick Mirror
I see you like I always have,
but it’s a trick mirror, love can look like an avalanche.
So, I start to run until I lose sight
It’s a trick mirror and I got glass in my eyes.
Sometimes its quicker to walk away
When you see signs of a darker day
But the more that you leave, of the less they will wait and
No one can love you if you don’t stay.
I love you, like I always have, but my body's cold.
Whenever the weather gets bad, I start to run, and I don’t look back
But you’re my shelter and I'm left alone in the black.
Without my expectations, and my defence formations
I am naked to the bone.
Without my exit strategies, my manual on how to be alone
I'll be somebody’s someone, I'll be somebody’s someone
I’ll never be somebody’s someone
I’ll never be somebody’s someone
